Gaim 1.0.0

Well, the official 1.0 release of GAIM is here. I’m excited, all my favorite Open Source projects are releasing 1.0 versions! I mean, it makes things so official. I’m hoping that it will help some of those who are afraid to use "unstable" beta versions to make the switch. Hat’s off to Rob Flynn, Sean Egan and their crew over at <a href="http://aidan.strateia.org/exit.php?url_id=34&entry_id=63" title="http://gaim.sourceforge.net" onmouseover="window.status=’http://gaim.sourceforge.net’;return true;" onmouseout="window.status=”;return true;">gaim.sourceforge.net on an excellent release.

Now the truth of the matter is that anyone who reads this blog and cares will long since have realized that a new version of GAIM has been released, either because they talk to Sean personally, or because they head on over to <a href="http://aidan.strateia.org/exit.php?url_id=35&entry_id=63" title="http://www.slashdot.com" onmouseover="window.status=’http://www.slashdot.com’;return true;" onmouseout="window.status=”;return true;">/. and get their information from the same source I do. Either way, I’m excited about it, so I post on my blog….
In other GAIM related news it was just last night that my wife realized GAIM supported tabbed dialogues, so she doesn’t have to have twenty different windows opened. She was highly impressed. <img src="http://aidan.strateia.org/templates/default/img/emoticons/wink.png" alt=";)" style="display: inline; vertical-align: bottom;" class="emoticon" />
