Small World

Johnny Hart died Saturday. He was a native of the area where I currently reside. The local newspaper has a tribute forum on the website for him. It was the topic of conversation at my place of employment over the past couple of days. He’s a bit of a local hero, I guess you could say. He was also a professing Christian, so he’s doubly a hero for the Christians in the area. I found B.C. somewhat amusing, if a bit heavy-handed at times.

It’s just striking to me how we live in a small world. Made more so by the interesting fact that people can identify with people that they have never met. Somehow there are those who share (or perhaps better – think they share) a kinship with Johnny Hart because he was born in this area and because he was a Christian. I just find it interesting.
